This 36-hour course will demonstrate how electrical technicians use math on the job. From the fundamentals to advanced mathematical concepts, this class will present math principles in an electrical context so that participants understand their relevance. Math concepts will include the basic principles of arithmetic, notations, numbering systems, measurements, conversions, formulas, equations, percentages, ratios, graphs, trigonometry, vector and complex numbers. A calculator will not be provided but is highly recommended. Please note that smart phone/cell phone calculator apps will not be allowed for use on assessments.

This 36-hour course focuses on forces that are characteristic of alternating current systems and the application of Ohm's Law to AC circuits. Covers AC and DC motors including the main parts, circuits, and conections. In addition, the purpose of grounding and bonding electrical systemts. NEC regulations are thoroughly covered. Conduit selection and bending techniques are explored.
