In this 36 hour course you will learn operating characteristics of AC and DC generators, synchronous impedance and reactance in AC generators, voltage regulation in AC and DC generators, basic motor action, & determining the direction of rotation of an armature. Also included is torque angle, pullout torque, normal field excitation in synchronous motor, capacitor-start, inductions run operation or single-phase motors and shaded pole motors.

The successful passing of classes 101 and 102 are the prerequisites for registering for this class.
