This 36-hours course covers reduction and solving for voltage, current or impedance in series and parallel circuits, differences between three-phase distribution systems and layout of vector diagram of the voltages in a three-phase wye and delta circuit. Also included is calculation of kva, kw and kvar in a three-phase system, law of cosines, construction and operation of meters, construciton of three-phase motor and principles of a three-phase rotating magnetic field. Step-down/step-up transformers, excitations current, efficiency, amp-turns, primary to secondary winding voltage and current ratios are covered.
